General Safety Tips

  • Keep away from flames and heat: Diffuser oils are flammable. Always place your diffuser away from candles, stoves, open flames, and high-heat surfaces.
  • Avoid direct sunlight: Prolonged exposure to sunlight or heat can degrade the fragrance and increase the risk of overheating, especially in car diffusers.
  • Use in well-ventilated areas: While our scents are designed to be gentle, good airflow helps prevent the build up of fragrance intensity, especially in smaller rooms.
  • Keep upright: Always place your diffuser on a stable, level surface to prevent leaks or spills.

Keep Out of Reach of Children & Pets

  • Diffuser liquids can be harmful if ingested and may irritate eyes or skin.
  • Be mindful of pets, especially cats and dogs, as some essential oils can affect animals more strongly.
  • Always supervise use and keep diffusers out of reach when not in a secured spot.

Handling Refills Safely

  • Pour with care: Use a steady hand when transferring liquid into your diffuser. A funnel may help with narrow openings.
  • Store properly: Always store refill bottles upright, tightly sealed, and away from heat or light to preserve fragrance quality.
  • Clean spills immediately: If oil spills, wipe it up right away to prevent damage to surfaces or slipping hazards. Use a diffuser tray to prevent spillage. Eyre Aroma are not responsible for any damage due to spillage.

Reed Diffuser Safety

  • Avoid touching soaked reeds: Reeds absorb oil and can transfer fragrance to your hands or surfaces. Use gloves or paper towel if flipping reeds.
  • Don’t place near fabrics or finishes: Oils can stain delicate materials like linen, wood, or marble.
  • Flip reeds with caution: Flip over reeds in a sink or over a paper towel to avoid dripping oil onto surfaces.

Car Diffuser Safety

  • Avoid direct contact with dashboards or upholstery: Always hang or place your car diffuser where it won’t touch sensitive surfaces.
  • Don’t leave in hot cars: Extreme heat can cause oils to leak or expand. Remove your diffuser if the car is parked in direct sun.

Candle Care Guide

Tips to get the best performance from soy candles.

  1. Trim your wicks before each use to prevent soot and ensure a clean, even burn.
  2. Keep flames away from the sides of the glass to avoid heat damage.
  3. Discontinue use if the glass becomes cracked, chipped, or broken.
  4. Always light all wicks (if your candle has more than one) to promote an even burn.
  5. Never add liquids or foreign objects to the wax. Keep the surface free from wick trimmings, matches, or any debris.
  6. If soot appears on the glass, extinguish the flame, let the candle cool, and gently wipe the inside with a dry paper towel.
  7. Cover your candle when not in use to help prevent dust from settling on the wax.
  8. Use a candle snuffer to extinguish the flame safely. If unavailable, blow gently and steadily to put it out.
  9. Burn time may vary based on fragrance, environment, and your burning habits.
